Bungendore Quilters Association donated this amazing quilt for us to raffle, to raise money for our preschool. We were extremely grateful and managed to raise nearly $500. The winning tickets for 1st and 2nd prizes were drawn by the children.
Community Bank Bungendore have been a massive support of our Preschool for many years. We were excited to be asked to partner with them, and Bungendore Rugby Union Football club in a puzzle fundraiser. The puzzles will be available as an ongoing fundraiser – and can be purchased at Preschool, Community Bank Bungendore Branch and at the BRUFC home games. Thank you Nick Fry – Community Engagement of Manager (Community Bank Bungendore) for thinking of this idea!
At the beginning of the 2023 football season, the Community Bank Bungendore committed to donating $20 for each try scored during the season. A stella effort by the Mudchooks and Mudchicks scoring a combined 84 tries.
We were very fortunate to be selected as the 2023 Bungendore Rugby Union Football Clubs Charity of choice. We were involved in special events held by BRUFC such as Jag the Joker raffles (which we received a $500 donation from one of the winners – Lindsay from The Canberra Distributors), Ladies Day, Family Day and Sponsors Day. The children were asked to draw a picture of Murray the Mudchook and Piggy from the Community Bank, and 2 designs were chosen to be printed on the 2023 Mudchick and Mudchook jerseys. These were auctioned off during the Sponsors Day celebrations. These were amazing and fun events which contributed to raising funds for the Preschool. At the end of the season, we were presented with a cheque for $36,073 What amazing effort from the BRUFC – we will be ever so grateful for your support and generosity, as it helps secure the future of our preschool!
Bungendore Preschool Fundraiser
22nd October 2022
In October each year, Classic Riders hosts an Annual Ride. A ride which brings together, clubs and motorcycling lovers from all over Australia. This year Bungendore Preschool hosted their annual ride. Riders contended with a wet and muddy ride to Bungendore, but were greeted by a warm dry hall with fresh tea, coffee, and nibbles all donated by our wonderful families, followed by a hearty buffet of warm food including beef brisket from our local BBQ smoker Sam Taylor. To finish off the day we all shared a slice of celebratory cake for our 40th Anniversary! This was the second hosting we have done for the club and can’t wait for another in the future!
